The New IPL Franchise Gujarat Titans

This year BCCI decided to add 2 new teams to the mega league. The auction was conducted for 2 new teams back in 2021. CVC Capitals and RGPS Group won the bids and were allocated new teams of Lucknow and Gujarat. Lucknow team was first to announce their name and logo. Lucknow team will be known as Lucknow Super Giants. While the Ahmedabad team details are still unknown.

Two backs there were speculations regarding the name of the team. It was coming out that the team will be called Ahmedabad Titians. But later it was officially denied that this is not the name. Ahmedabad fans were excited after the name announcement but soon they become disappointed. But later yesterday it was officially announced that the Ahmedabad team will be called Gujarat Titians in IPL 2022.

Now speaking of the team this team has named Ashish Nehra as their head coach and Gary Kirsten as their mentor. The team as we all know is a new team and they would want to establish a good performance in the first season of IPL.

Coming into the players Gujarat Titians have picked 3 players from draft picks allocated to them before this mega auction. Players picked by Gujarat Titians are the local boy from Gujarat (Ahmedabad) Hardik Pandya, Star bowler from Afghanistan Rashid Khan, and young dashing opener from India in name of Shubman Gill. Also, they have announced Hardik Pandya as their new captain and now looking forward to building a good competitive team through this week's auction.
