Big breaking news came yesterday when Gujarat Titans player, Jason Roy announced that he will not take part in the IPL 2022 season. Roy gave reasons for bio bubble fatigue for not participating in IPL 2022. Roy said IPL is a long tournament and he doesn’t want to spend that much time in a bio bubble environment and he would much rather prefer spending that much with his family back home in England.

After the news of Jason Roy pulling out came then came news Gujarat Titans are now looking for suitable candidates to replace him and the name of Suresh Raina was on forefront. Suresh Raina was everywhere and some even declared him the Gujarat Titan's player too.

Now if Gujarat titans decide to go with Suresh Raina what does brings on the table. Raina has already captained Gujarat team once thus he brings much needed experience on the table which might be useful for a young captain like Hardik. With bat Raina at 3 or 4 can be very useful and can contribute to the team in pressure situations at times.

With Raina what you get is a solid fielder be it inside the circle or be it on the boundary. Also, Raina can roll his arm over when needed andeasily give 2-3 overs on his day. So, with Raina you get a 4-dimensional player. The only thing which goes against him is he hasn’t played any competitive game since longtime so he might be rusty and will need time to adjust.

So, what do you think of the Gujarat Titans getting in Suresh Raina to replace Jason Roy for this upcoming IPL season? Also don’t forget to follow us on IPL 2022 Live Score for more such ipl related updates.
