KKR announces their Captain

The IPL auction took place on 12th and 13th February. KKR went into the auction looking for the captain. KKR had a good auction. They got the squad and look like a complete squad. KKR brought Shreyas Iyer for 12cr and as a good batsman and also potentially captaincy candidate.

KKR also got Pat Cummins for 7.5cr and Ajanka Rahane for 1cr. Kolkata Knight Riders also brought in Nitish Rana. Now seeing the KKR squad there are multiple options for Captaincy. Ex KKR player Harbhajan Singh sparked controversy by saying Nitish Rana is a good candidate for the captaincy.

Finally KKR yesterday announced that Shreyas Iyer will be their captain for the upcoming IPL season. Shreyas Iyer as captain is a proven material. Shreyas Iyer as captain has a terrific record. Now coming to the KKR squad V.Iyer and Rahane will open and Shreyas Iyer and Sam Billings at 4. In the middle order, Russel Narine and Nitish Rana will slot in. In bowling Pat Cummins, Varun C, Umesh Yadav, and Shivam Mavi will complete their playing 11.
