IPL Season 15: Mega Auction

So the day has finally arrived. Today and Tomorrow are IPL Auction Day. This IPL auction is a special one. As we all know this auction is a mega auction. Every team (10 teams) will look to get the best players from the auction. There are in total 600 players going under the hammer today. Initially, there were 590 players but later in the evening, yesterday BCCI added 10 youngsters from the India U-19 team into the auction.

This is the first day at auction and according to reports as many as 161 players' names will be coming out today. There are 62 sets in the auction, each set containing 9-10 players. The remaining purse of all the teams is already a well-known fact. Punjab Kings has the highest purse with 72cr, while Delhi Capitals has the lowest purse with 47.5cr.

This mega auction will have very different dynamics. Instead of 8 teams, there are 10 teams on the auction table. Two new teams of Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titians will be looking to set their path and legacy from the auction table itself. While all existing franchises will have the burden of maintaining their standards. All the Marquee players will invite a bidding war.

This auction brings us all excitement and thrill while some nervous days for players involved as all players will want to associate with a team so that they can play in grand league knowns as the Indian Premier League.
