It’s that time of year when every cricket fan is excited. Of course, you guess it's right it's IPL Auction time. IPL auction for season 15 is just days away from us. This year auction will take place in Bangalore on 12th and 13th February 2022. This year's auction has a completely different flavor to it. This year 2 new teams have been added to the grand league. All 8 existing teams had to release all their players into the auction pool. But auction means some players will go unsold. Out of 590 players, only 250 max could find teams so many will go unsold.
Here we will discuss some Indian players who are likely to go unsold.
1. Rahane
The former Indian vice-captain is one such candidate who might not attract buyers in this auction. This one year has been tough for Rahane. He lost his vice-captaincy in red-ball cricket. His form is at all-time low. He is the verge of getting axed by the Indian test team. Rahane played for Delhi Capitals for the last couple of years. But unfortunately, Rahane was reduced to bench player at Delhi. So we feel like Rahane will go unsold in this auction.
2. Ishant Sharma
Another player might get unsold in the auction. Ishant Sharma was the leader of the Indian pace bowling attack. But from last year he has lost his place as leader of the attack. Now in lost place in Indian Test team too. Now he is 5th or 6th in the pecking order in the bowling attack. In IPL he played for Delhi Capitals but there too he wasn’t the first choice. Ishant considering his form and recent performance won't attract buyers' attention at the auction table.
3. Kedar Jadhav
He is another Indian who might not get any bidders. Kedar Jadhav is his late 30. Kedar Jadhav even though his a utility player age is not on his side. Jadhav played for CSK in the 2019 season but was released later by them. He was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad. But there he was not performing there too. So considering his form and age there is the possibility of him getting unsold.
4. Pujara
Indian Test match no.3 wasn’t considered a T20 player ever. He was never picked by any team in auction till last year. But last year he was picked by CSK for his base price. When he was picked there was a big round of applause in the auction room. But in the 2021season, he didn’t play a single game for CSK. Now even his form in the Test match circuit has dropped and now we feel he won't get picked again in the auction.
So this were a few players who might not get picked this IPL auction. For ipl auction 2022 follow us.
